Two weeks ago Truchi visited me at school out in Missouri,
and after a very upsetting beginning of the week with my family in KY,
we ended up having a considerably nice time back at school.

It's just nice to have someone hang out with you, even if you are being sad and not very fun.

And now it's my spring break,
pictures of my week later.

Hello Hello!

Hello my beloved bloggers!

I have good news and bad news.

1) I'm officially moved in at Stephens College!! I completely love it here- the school is so wonderful I can't even talk enough about it.
2) My school blog is up and running! Check it out here!!

Now the bad news. That other blog is up an running, but I am also up and running at nearly the same speed. Of course, things are just beginning and orientation activities are consuming my life, so it may just be that I need to get accustomed to college life and then make time to play internet. However, I am once again forced to offer up a disclaimer to all of you that I might me missing in action for a while. BUT I will be posting regularly (twice a week if not more) on the Stephens blog- so if it's me you all are craving for that's where I'll be!

Thank you so much for being patient,
but more importantly thank you so much for your support and readership in the first place. I love blogging because I have a place to put all my discoveries, but it was so lonely around here without you.

Keep in touch,

love, rudi

Oh I can't tell you how happy I am right now.
I'm finally sitting in my own house, in front of my own computer, eating a piece of Belgian chocolate my boyfriend brought over from his trip to Paris, listening to this:

(Yes I know I've already shared this with you- I just especially love it!)

And now I"m about to (finally) show you some pictures from my trip to Stephens College in
Columbia, Missouri!

Let me start off by saying I love love love Columbia. I've traveled around a considerable amount, and visited many great towns and cities- but Columbia just completely lights me up with happiness. Maybe it's just because know I'll be living here, and every place I see becomes a possible place where something significant will happen to me, or a place where I'll be. As you can tell, I visualize my coming semesters with a certain dream like quality.
Which, in my opinion, is the absolute best thing to do.

Here's the outside of the dorm I'll be living in. I know it doesn't really give you a very informative picture, but you certainly can pick up on the charm.
 Here's next door.

The rest of the pictures were taken in downtown Columbia, about a block and a half away from my campus and dorm. It's such a luxury to be so close to everything. It'll make morning lattes a more realistic goal- that and the fact that my first class starts at 9. Victory!
All the benches look something like this.

One of the many theaters in town.
There's a coolie bakery! In fact, there's a half eaten box of custom, freshly made cookies in my kitchen right this very instant. If I hadn't just eaten some of that boyfriend chocolate I'd help myself to a re-heated vanilla & white chocolate chip cookie with a large cup of tea.

....the tea sounds do-able, though...
here's some of the customer decorated cookie boxes that proudly decorate the walls.

And remember how I told you all I had a New Way Fun Project?
Well,
Stephens Colllege has 'hired' me on as their student blogger! Which means that I will be the student voice of Stephens whenever anyone goes to the official college website, and I'll be the example of what a Stephens Girl really is.
Isn't that exciting!?
I can't tell you how honored I am and how lucky I feel for somehow having acquired this role- its going to be so super fun! It'll be such a great feeling having my own creative project- especially one that is significantly important- or at least noticed.
I feel like a celebrity on campus. Most, if not all, of the admissions counselors there have read my blog, and it was surreal walking down a foreign hallway, confused and trying to find the place to get student IDs, and be greeting by a stranger who says, "Hey! Rudi! I love your blog!"
No wonder I love Stephens so much, huh?

But anyway, nothing's set up yet or I'd give you all a link- but as soon as my fonts are chosen and pictures arise I will surely let all 23 of you know where to find me (if you're interested) and how to see my adventures in their full beauty. Of course, right now it seems that I'll easily be able to handle two blogs at one time, but who knows how crazy my schedule will become once I move in. But the separation of me and this blog is a sad day we shall not yet talk about.

By the way,
I GOT A HAIRCUT!
please forgive my makeup-less face.
It's not much but bangs make me feel like a million bucks.

I think I've consumed enough of your time for now. It's time for me to refill my hot tea
(which I did end up getting)
and watch the Glee season finale.
Have a great evening, guys and gals!

So yesterday my little family didn't do all that much,
because we have tons of snow outside trapping us in!
But I got finally had the time and inspiration
to do all my housewife-ey letter writing!

I made a thank you note for the President of Stephens College,
and I was so proud of it I scanned it for you to see!

This is the envelope and the note,

And this is the back of the note with my contact info on it!

I felt so totally clever. I love love LOVE making little cards and things,
I think
I would be such a great pen pal.

And I made this for Faith, whose dog Roxy just died :(

Now I have to not do fun stuff,
and I have to write an English essay...

wish me luck.

Hey!

I've got a few photos for you from my adventures,
but unfortunately,
because my camera is very heavy, I am forgetful, and I am a mediocre blogger,
I forgot my camera in the car for most of the trip.

But I did manage to get a few shots that turned out half decent!
-----------------------------------------------
On the long journey me and Mom and Mel got mustachios and lips

One of my favorite stores in Columbia is Maude V.
I bought a shirt and sweater,
and then a skirt,
and I didn't even feel bad for spending so much moolahs because everything was
so. beautiful.
I'll take a picture of my new clothses in a minute...

And also Mel looked adorable all weekend,
and met a new friend named Eric IMMEDIATELY
who was totally awesome and currently shooting a short film.

And my favorite-est Uncle Mike came to visit us for the day!!!!
Exporing the town and being congenial to college administrators is so much more fun/ easy with him around backing me up.
I seriously love this man.

I met a lot of really amazing girls this weekend, too,
and I didn't not like a single person I met.

The college was amazing, the town was full of adventure, and
I want to be a Stephens girl.

THANKS for all the good luck wishes!
I especially loved the quotes, Craig

I think you all really helped me rock it this weekend

I'm home safe, and have lots of stories to tell and pictures to show,

but my current energy level i.s only allotting me time to say
I have officially arrived home safe.

I'd love to stay and chat,
but my bed is softly whispering.......
